In the case of firing a man on Sep 6, 2008 today honorable district session judge did justice with the victims and announced judgment, and according to the conviction suspects got imprisonment of 10 years and fine of Rs 5000 each. As per the matter of the case Mithu Singh, son of Kapoor Singh resident of ward number 5, Bhikhi filed a case against the accused stating that Bharpoor Singh and Harjinder Singh fired on Mithu Singh and his brother Bhoora Singh. Bhoora Singh got badly injured in this incident and was taken to the hospital where doctors referred him to PGI. Bhoora Singh’s statement was recorded and a case was filed(FIR number 120) under sections of 307, 34 IPC, and sections 25, 54 and 59 of Arms Act against Paramjeet, Harminder Singh and Bhoora Singh resident of Bhikhi and investigation was started against them. Police produced 5 persons including Darshan Singh and Bhutna before the honorable court. In case of not paying the fine they will have to spend one more month in jail. Paramjeet Singh and five others were also charged free of the case. Case was prosecuted by a senior advocate, Gurlabh Singh Maahal.
