Our Small gesture for the avalanche victims in J& K

In March, 2005 Jammu Kashmir witnessed a devastating snow fall which surpassed the 40 year old record. Avalanche and landslide were triggered. About 350 people were killed and thousands were injured. Roads were blocked and people were deprived of even items of daily living. As soon as Guruji learnt of this mishap, preparations for sending relief began and without any further delay, the saviors of humanity started off for the difficult mission. The first installment of relief by Shah Satnam Ji Green S Welfare Force Society was sent across in 15 trucks to Shahbad Tehsil of Anantnag district. The snow had caused extensive damage and the blanket was over 15 feet thick. At places, it reached upto 50 feet. The people inhabiting the areas of Anantnag, Akhnoor, Kupwara etc. were worst hit in the biting cold and were virtually incommunicado due to the blockaded roads.

avalanchDuring such demanding situations, his Holiness Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji infused tremendous enthusiasm amongst the volunteers of Shah Satnam Ji Green-S Welfare force Society that was sent to help the victims, trapped in the heavy snows in Anantnaag, along with 15 truck loads of relief materials.

Few days later, the second convoy of relief materials was sent. It served 7 thousands people and consisted of 1600 quintals of rice, 450 quintals of lentils, 125 quintals of salt and other items of daily use. As usual, the students of the Shah Satnam Ji Institutions participated most enthusiastically in making collections.
