Today millions are celebrating this special occasion across the world as 106th MSG Bhandara, marking the 106th Incarnation Day of the Master of both the realms, Parampita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj, the second Spiritual Leader of Dera Sacha Sauda.
An ocean of compassion and benevolence, Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj’s infinite glory transcends words. This day is celebrated by millions who express eternal gratitude for his boundless love and divine blessings that transformed their lives forever, unlocking their fortunes and reshaping their destinies.
Satnam is the sacred and pious entity, that has been meditated upon by the saints, prophets and devotees since the dawn of humanity. It is the light and sound of life, and is the origin and the ending of everything we see, hear, know or feel.
Satnam = 'Sat + Nam'
Sat (सत्): Truth, eternal, everlasting, and unchanging.
Nam (नाम): The name that invokes the divine.
Satnam signifies the eternal name that has been resounding in the multiverse and beyond, that was, is and forever shall be the ultimate truth. It refers to Lord himself - the creator and orchestrator of every moment.
When the vices grow rampant, when the souls are in agony and pray to the Lord for salvation, it is then, that upon hearing the desperate cries of the souls, the divine power that governs and sustains the whole universe and beyond incarnates on the earth.
The celestial power provides salvation to millions of souls, bestows infinite happiness upon them and satisfies their yearning for divine love. But most importantly, they transform the hearts and usher in a new era, illuminating the path of virtues and gradually eradicating vices from within the souls.
It was on 25th January 1919 that the great divine power 'Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj' incarnated on the sacred land of Shri Jalalana Sahib to revered parents Shri Wareyam Singh Ji and Mata Aas Kaur Ji.
His radiant glow illuminated the atmosphere around, giving joys to the Lord's beloved souls. Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj was born after 18 years and was the sole child of revered parents. They welcomed his divine advent by distributing sweets to the entire village. Anyone who saw the pious face of the celestial incarnation would keep on looking as their souls felt immense tranquility.
Named Sardar Harbans Singh by his parents, his childhood reflected extraordinary compassion, love, and kindness. He went out of his way to help humans, animals, and birds alike.
In one instance, when a poor man sought financial assistance for his daughter’s marriage, A few years old Harbans ji (Parampita ji) requested his mother to provide whatever was needed. He insisted the money not be returned, saying the daughter was akin to his sister.
His kindness was felt by every living being, and his presence would fill every heart with joy.
Deeply spiritual and dedicated to Lord since childhood, Parampita Shah Satnam Ji met many saints in his quest to feel the divine. But only a True Spiritual Master fulfills such sacred desires.
This journey culminated when he attended the discourses of Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj, whose divine aura immediately resonated with him. Parampita ji instantly felt the divine presence within Shah Mastana Ji.
It was after attending the satsangs for 3 years that Shah Mastana Ji bestowed the holy method of meditation or Guru Mantra or Naam Dan upon Shah Satnam ji, then known as Sardar Harbans Singh Ji, on 14th March 1954.
After rigorously testing Parampita ji in various ways, on 28th February 1960, Shah Mastana Ji declared him as his holy successor, naming him as Shah Satnam Singh Ji, and declared, 'Today, I have transformed Sardar Satnam Singh Ji from an ordinary person to the Supreme Being'. He further said that Satnam is the power which controls the Universe.
On 18th April 1960 Shah Mastana Ji left for the holy abode.
After 3 years, Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj started giving Naam Shabad or method of meditation to common people.
Parampita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj illuminated the path of righteousness for the entire world. He taught that helping those in pain and endeavouring to alleviate their sufferings is the true meaning of humanity.
He taught that all religions teach that Lord is one and that we all are the children of the same Lord. Bestowing immense love, he eradicated the vices of inequality, discrimination, hatred and envy, and fostered the virtues of brotherhood, peace and love.
Inspired by Parampita Ji's teachings, the flowers of selfless service and love started blooming in the society. People began helping the destitute, and today, Shah Satnam Singh Ji's teachings have blossomed into 167 welfare works that are being practiced by Dera Sacha Sauda volunteers across the world, without any discrimination on the basis of caste, creed or religion.
Parampita Ji initiated the tradition of 'Brahma Vivah', a practice based on which thousands of marriages have been solemnized till date without any dowry or superstitions, at Dera Sacha Sauda.
He wrote 20 books and 1500 hymns, written in very simple and easy to comprehend words, that continue to guide the humanity.
On 23rd September 1990, Parampita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj declared Saint Dr Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan as his holy successor and the two divine forms united in an unparalleled cosmic divine event.
For 15 months, they stayed together, and on 13 December 1990, Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj left his mortal body, taking on the form of Saint Dr. MSG to continue his divine mission.
His divine love continues to shower upon millions and his light continues to eradicate darkness of ignorance, in the sacred form of Saint Dr MSG.
As we celebrate the 106th Incarnation Day during this MSG Bhandara, let us pledge to follow Parampita Ji’s teachings, eradicate vices, and serve humanity with unwavering dedication.
Wishing everyone a joyous and blessed MSG Bhandara!
