129th Pious Incarnation Day of Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj

History is a witness to the fact that whenever the negatives power begins to spread its dark wings and tries to spread negativity and darkness, the Supreme Power incarnates on this earth to end the evil. And on such a pious day of Kartik Poornima of 1891, Almighty Himself took the human form of Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj. Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj was born to respected Mata Tulsan Bai Ji and respected father Pilla Mal ji in the village Kotra, Tehsil Gandheya, Riyasat Kulayat (Balochistan). The sister of respected Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj later told that at the moment of birth of Mastana Ji, the room was lit with divine light and warmth; an immense spiritual joy was felt by the every being. There was happiness in the breeze and one could feel that some special event has taken place.

Extreme interest towards Spiritualism since childhood

Shah Mastana Ji was named as Shri Khemamal Ji in childhood, by the respected parents. Since early childhood, Mastana Ji displayed divine characteristics of hard work, honesty and devotion towards Almighty. He would devote daily time towards prayers in the bid to see the Supreme Power. Then one day, Shah Mastana Ji got to feel and see the divine presence of Saint Sawan Shah Ji. To find him, Shah Mastana Ji travelled to meet the holy Saint; on meeting Sawan Shah Ji Maharaj, Mastana Ji cried tears of joy and realised that he had found, what he has been looking for throughout his life. Mastana Ji Maharaj took the method of meditation from Sawan Shah Ji and meditated to realize the true purpose of life. Later, His Holiness Baba Sawan Singh Ji assigned Shah Mastana Ji the Holy duty of carrying forward the mission in the vicinity of Bagarh (a region of northern Rajasthan and western Haryana). When Shah Mastana Ji doubted that how would anyone understand Him and His language, Baba Sawan Singh Ji proclaimed that Mastana Ji's voice would be Lord's voice, and whosoever will listen to His voice would be enticed. Baba Sawan Singh Ji also proclaimed that the method of meditation given by Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj would be a direct pathway towards Salvation and that whosoever would meditate, serve humanity and follow the three principles, would lead a fulfilled life from inside and out. Baba Sawan Singh Ji also gave acceptance to the divine slogan "Dhan Dhan Satguru Tera Hi Asra". After receiving these blessings from His Master, Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj came to Sirsa.

1948 - The Foundation Year of Dera Sacha Sauda

After the holy commandment from Baba Sawan Singh Ji, Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj moved to Sirsa and founded Dera Sacha Sauda in April 1948. Mastana Ji taught the principles of hard work, honesty and selfless love towards entire mankind and prohibited the acceptance of any kind of donations. Soon, the reputation of Mastana Ji and Dera Sacha Sauda spread far and wide; people would feel immense joy on listening to the holy sermons of Mastana Ji Maharaj. Mastana Ji Maharaj attracted many people because He was known for distributing material riches to the destitute, feeding sweets to animals and for showing divine enigmatic spectacles that were beyond the scope of human understanding. Mastana Ji showed the path of simple living while enjoying the divine bliss to thousands. Mastana Ji travelled to various villages and cities and taught the method of meditation to thousands of people from 1948 to 1960, changing their lives forever. During this period, Mastana Ji established 25 Ashrams for Dera Sacha Sauda in the states of Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan.

The Three Principles of Dera Sacha Sauda

Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj set up 3 core principles that are followed by the disciples of Dera Sacha Sauda so across the world. These are as follows: - No consumption of non vegetarian or egg and adopt vegetarianism. - No consumption of alcohol, drugs, tobacco etc. - No adultery or illicit sex, one must be faithful towards legal relationships.

Declaring the Holy Successor

Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj - Dera Sacha Sauda On the pious day of February 28, 1960, Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj declared Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj as the second master of Dera Sacha Sauda. In the words of Shah Mastana Ji: A perfect Spiritual saint is one with God. He incarnates in human form by the order of the Almighty. Having performed his assigned duties, he passes on the responsibility to his successor and returns back to his original eternal place, ie. The Anami Desh (the home of the Lord). Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj left for the eternal holy abode on April 18, 1960. The seed of humanity planted by Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj was watered and taken care of by Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj and further nurtured by the third Master of Dera Sacha Sauda, Saint Dr Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan and has now flourished to become a name known worldwide for its humanitarian activities. Today, there are more than 65 million followers of Dera Sacha Sauda, who do 134 welfare activities to serve the humanity. There are no words to express the gratefulness and thankfulness for the pious guidance and benevolence of Lord Mastana Ji Maharaj, whose guidance is the very basis of lives of these millions of people.
