Dera Sacha Sauda is engaged in rehabilitation of widows or divorced women. Widow re-marriage is considered inauspicious in India but with the inspiration of Guruji Dera followers are coming forwards in large numbers to accept these women and start a life of happy matrimony. Motivated and inspired by Guruji, thousands of such youth have vowed to marry and rehabilitate these women and open mindedly accept them as their life partners without any fear. Several marriages have been already solemnized.

These women had been given unfortunate name tags and have been accorded a low status in our society; but the youth have followed Guruji's exhortation and chosen such life partners without a trace of discrimination or obligation. Guruji has been instrumental in bridging the gender divide and remove discrimination in our conservative society. The husband's death or a divorce is a chance event for which the woman should not be blamed, Guruji says.
