Dera Sacha Sauda Followers commemorate WBDD 14th June by organizing a massive Blood Donation Camp in Chandigarh

All arrangements fell short in front of the massive number of donors and humanitarian spirit displayed by these volunteers | WBDD 14th June

In the midst of scorching heat and soaring temperatures, Dera Sacha Sauda, the organization, which has provided millions of units of blood for the Indian Army till date, conducted a blood donation camp. On the occasion of WBDD 14th June, Friday, this Camp was organized at a community center, in Sec. 49-C, Chandigarh.

The Blood Donation Camp (WBDD 14th June) was conducted from 9 am to 2 pm by Blood Bank teams from various cities. The organizers had made arrangements for about 3,000 blood donors, but with more than 5000 donors registering for the camp, the arrangements fell short. Therefore, thousands of donors had to be returned back due to a shortage of infrastructure and equipment.

On this occasion (WBDD 14th June), Shobha Insan, Vice Chairperson of Dera Sacha Sauda mentioned that under the guidance of Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Insan, Dera has been organizing blood donation camps with the help of the Indian Army.

These Camps are being organized for the Indian Army for the last one and a half decade, in which lakhs of units of Blood have been collected for the Indian Army itself.

She also informed that Dera Sacha Sauda has been credited with 3 Guinness World Records, 2 Asia Book of Records and a Limca Book of Record and India Book of Record each, in the field of Blood Donation.  And speaking about the road ahead, she also mentioned that these Blood donation camps will be organized across the country, to help our injured jawans of the Indian Army.

The prominent teams present to collect Blood included, Blood Bank General Hospital, Patiala, Blood Bank Ojas Hospital Panchkula, Life Line Blood Center Patiala, Blood Bank Max Hospital Mohali, Purohit Blood Bank Sri Ganganagar, Freedom Blood Bank Bhiwani, Life Line Blood Bank Nagpur, Pitampura Blood New Delhi chief.

Dr. Vishnu Purohit from Purohit Blood Bank, Sri Ganganagar said that Dera Sacha Sauda is an institution like no other, if this institution ceases blood donation, then all blood banks will undergo a famine.

Ravi Gajbhey, Life Line Blood Bank, Nagpur, Maharashtra told that they keep visiting Dera Sacha Sauda for collection of blood on a regular basis, as there is no other institution that can fulfill Blood requirements so fast. Today also, we are looking forward to collect more than 1000 units

It is worth noting that till today 189 camps have been organized by Dera Sacha Sauda, in which 5,13,136 units of blood have been donated, excluding the ones organized by followers on their own.
