Guru Purnima is the most sacred occasion where we express our homage and gratitude to the gurus in our lives, who have imparted knowledge, wisdom, and virtues to us. Celebrated on the full moon (Purnima) of the Ashadha month in the Hindu calendar, this revered event holds significant importance, especially in the realms of Sufism and spirituality.
Gu means Darkness
Ru means Light
The one who lights the lamp of divine wisdom in the darkness of colossal ignorance, and takes nothing in return, only he is the ‘True Guru’.
The necessity of Guru has always been there- in the past, present or be it in future.
In the realm of Spirituality, Sufism, where soul learns the path leading to Almighty, the need of Guru becomes paramount as he is the guide and teacher of these invisible divine paths. He is the link that connects the soul to the Almighty.
On this pious Guru Purnima, we bow and pay reverence to the true spiritual guide and master, Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan, who transformed millions of lives worldwide by enlightening with divine wisdom and showing the righteous path.
Guru Purnima with Saint Dr. MSG
From the societal viewpoint, a Guru, a master is imperative to learn anything and everything.
Soon after birth, a mother becomes the child's first guru, caring for them by feeding, nourishing, cleaning, and nurturing them. A mother is the very first and unique guru, incomparable in the life of a child.
As the child grows, their father and elder siblings assume the role of a guru, teaching them to walk and talk. Over time, a father provides education, shares life experiences, acts as a protective shield, and nurtures the child, thereby fulfilling the role of a Guru.
In schools and colleges, teachers and lecturers serve as Gurus in the academic field. Coaches in sports and often friends who explain or guide also play the role of a Guru.
Saint Dr. MSG explains that just as a teacher or guide is needed in every field of life from the very beginning, the need for a true Guru in spirituality is paramount. The spiritual ways and paths are hidden deep, and only a spiritual guide can illuminate them for the disciple.
A true Guru is not created; he is sent by the Lord and fulfills his purpose through the guidance of his own Guru, who imparts the method of meditation. Shah Mastana Ji received the spiritual treasure of both worlds from his Spiritual Master in 1948. With his blessings and spiritual orders, Mastana Ji came to Sirsa for the emancipation of the Bagad Belt. He sowed the seed of spirituality in the form of Dera Sacha Sauda, which was nurtured by his spiritual heir, Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj, from 28 February 1960 onwards.
The trinity of ‘MSG’—the spiritual amalgamation—was formally completed on 23 September 1990, when Parampita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj performed the royal coronation of Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan, making him the Spiritual Leader.
The spiritual radiance passed on, sparkling brighter in each Guru’s form, attracting millions of devotees from across the world with divine magnetism.
Of all the bonds and relations in the world, the bond of a Spiritual Guru and disciple reigns supreme. In each of the forms, the powerful spiritual love of Guru and disciple was illustrated through ardent devotion, placing their Guru above all, and a deep yearning of Guru’s divine sightings and selfless love.
Shah Mastana Ji danced with sheer joy before his master, Sawan Shah Ji. Shah Satnam Ji, upon a single call from Shah Mastana Ji, broke down his house and even sold his belongings just to catch a divine glimpse of his Guru. Similarly, Saint Dr. MSG gave up his family and wealth to follow the call of his Guru, Shah Satnam ji.
Hence, for a disciple, nothing is more important than following the Guru's teachings and dedicating oneself completely to his divine commands.
With firm faith and adherence to Guru’s sermons, a disciple can get rid of his heavy karmic burdens which are akin to death.
A guru’s sermon is the akin to voice of Lord; his messages are divine and deep, that encompass past, present and future, and are beyond the human comprehension.
Saint Dr. MSG, the true Spiritual Saint has dedicated his life to the welfare of every being. He has been transforming the society by eliminating social evils like drugs, prevalent myths and superstitions, and has taught the virtues of humanity and Godly love by imparting the pious method of meditation.
Respecting all the religions, pious scriptures and revered Gurus, Saint Dr. MSG teaches to truly adhere and incorporate the teachings of religions in one’s life.

Guru ji has initiated 163 welfare works that not only help the destitute and serve every section of the society, but also help the voiceless beings like birds and animals.

Saving lives, providing medical relief and helping rehabilitate the victims and injured, these Samaritans are the champions of humanity.
