In a world where access to healthcare remains a challenge for many, free eye camps emerge as beacons of hope, offering a lifeline to those unable to seek specialized services. DeraSacha Sauda has been organizing these free camps to illuminate lives since 1992 in the pious remembrance of Revered Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj (Second spiritual master of Dera Sacha Sauda).
To honor the unwavering dedication of service providers, thisannual welfare initiative has been rechristened as 'MSG SewaBhandara' by the Revered Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan. This change in name honors the selfless efforts and passionate devotion of every service provider involved, especially during the eye camps, acknowledging their unwavering commitment to serving humanity.
Initiated annually, this eye camp is based on the belief that healthcare is a fundamental right, irrespective of socio-economic background. The first day of the 32nd Yaad-E-Murshid Free Eye Camp witnessed inspiring acts of compassion and service. With selfless service and commitment to humanity, many volunteers, super specialist doctors, and several disciples are extending relief to the patients and helping them restore their eye vision.
In this noble initiative to extend the gift of sight to those in need, a renowned team of eye specialists across the country has convened at the camp to conduct eye examinations for patients.
The four-day camp, attracting patients from Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and numerous other states, is set to continue its efforts until December 15. The camp not only provides eye examinations but also facilitates free surgeries, scheduled to take place at the modern operation theaters of Shah Satnam Ji Specialty Hospital from December 13 onwards.
Patients attending the camp receive not only medical examinations but also complimentary medications, consultations from eye specialists, and eyeglasses. More than 1300 patients have registered for eye examinations, with 200 patients receiving examinations on the first day alone.
It’s indeed the best beginning of ‘MSG Sewa Bhandara.’ This philanthropic endeavor finds its roots in the cherished memory of Revered Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj. Revered Saint Dr. MSG initiated the 'Yaad-E-Murshid Free Eye Camp' in 1992. Since then, 31 such camps have been organized, providing new light to more than 30k individuals through surgeries. Additionally, countless others have benefited from the free check-ups conducted during these camps.
