Dera Sacha Sauda is engaged in a various social reforms apart from helping people in natural disasters and one of the increasingly important issues to generate is employment. Dera Sacha Sauda is creating new vistas in employment for the youth. For hundreds of families, the Ashram itself has become a source of livelihood. The units and industries that are being managed by Dera followers on Dera principles also try to maximize their social impact by providing wholesome employment. Even the various services in the Ashram, like the closely affiliated schools, hospitals etc. give direct employment. Even business's run by Dera followers are inspired to follow the most humane practices. Apart from that special vocational training drives are held for poorer sections of the society as per their local potential e.g. if it is carpet weaving in certain areas of Rajasthan then it is looms in another Tribal area of Udaipur district due to availability of raw materials. Even at the Block level training centers for weaving, stitching and knitting have been established. These programs are particularly run for the women and the widows. Guruji says that it is important to arm the people with the required skill sets so that they are able to support themselves.
