34th ‘Yaad-e-Murshid’ Free Mega Eye Camp: Restoring Visions with Compassion and Care
Selfless service is the true mark of devotion — it reflects humility, strengthens brotherhood, and leads humanity, society, and the nation towards the path of progress.
Honouring the Divine Legacy through Service and Compassion
On 13th December 1991, the eternal radiance Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj, the second Spiritual Master of Dera Sacha Sauda, left His worldly body and continued His divine mission of uplifting mankind through His Spiritual Successor, Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan.
To commemorate His divine legacy and honour His teachings of selfless service, Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan initiated the ‘Yaad-e-Murshid’ Free Mega Eye Camps, where expert ophthalmologists and eminent eye surgeons offer free check-ups, consultations, and surgeries to all patients.
To date, 28,253 patients have received successful free surgeries and regained their eye-sight, with thousands of others receiving free treatments and medication for other ailments. This noble initiative has been instrumental in eliminating avoidable blindness and advancing healthy vision—echoing the mission of India’s National Programme for Control of Blindness and Visual Impairment (NPCBVI).
This year, the 34th ‘Yaad-e-Murshid’ Free Eye Camp will be held from 12th to 15th December 2025.
Robust Medical Infrastructure and Collaborative Expertise
Organised by the Shah Satnam Ji Research and Development Foundation in collaboration with Shah Satnam Ji Super Speciality Hospitals, the ‘Yaad-e-Murshid’ Free Eye Camp brings together expert doctors, ophthalmologists, and surgeons from the hospital, and super-specialist ophthalmologists and eye surgeons from various states across North and West India — all rendering their services free of cost under one umbrella.
Thousands of Shah Satnam Ji Green ‘S’ Welfare Committee volunteers from across the nation also join this humanitarian endeavour, working round the clock alongside dedicated paramedical teams. They assist in patient care, administrative tasks, and overall management to ensure a smooth and compassionate experience for every individual.
Registrations for the camp are conducted at Shah Satnam Ji Shah Mastana Ji Manavta Bhalai Kendra, Dera Sacha Sauda, Sirsa.
Once registered, patients undergo an end-to-end screening and treatment process at Shah Shah Satnam Ji Super Speciality Hospitals.
Patients are screened for cataract, glaucoma, retinal disorders, squint, corneal issues, infections, and other eye ailments. Those needing medication receive it immediately, while surgical cases are selected for further procedures.
Surgeries are performed by expert eye surgeons in state-of-the-art operation theatres equipped with antibacterial paint, specialised flooring, and HEPA filters — ensuring sterile environments and strict hygiene protocols.
Patient-Centred Care and Post-Surgery Support Systems
After surgery, patients are moved to the general wards and paired with a dedicated Green ‘S’ volunteer for personalised care. The wards are gender-segregated, ensuring that female patients are supported by female volunteers and male patients by male volunteers.
While doctors conduct routine rounds and the paramedical staff administers timely medication, the volunteers care for the patients like family. From feeding them lovingly to helping them walk, accompanying them to the washroom, and ensuring complete comfort — they provide homely, heartfelt care, especially to elderly patients recovering after surgery.
It is noteworthy that post-operative stay, care, medicines, and even spectacles are provided entirely free of cost.
Continuing the Mission of Accessible Eye Care
Since 1992, this Eye Camp has been a blessing for thousands, especially those from financially weaker backgrounds. Many patients express that the care and affection they receive here surpass what they could have received even at home.
The ‘Yaad-e-Murshid’ Free Eye Camp strives to provide the finest eye care to every individual — promoting healthy vision, self-reliance, and a happier life for all, in alignment with the vision of ‘Swasth Bharat’. Only when the most vulnerable and destitute are uplifted can society truly progress.
Thanks to this noble initiative launched by Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan, the dream of restored eyesight has turned into a joyful reality for countless individuals.
Let us spread the word and help bring light into someone’s life by guiding those suffering from visual ailments to receive world-class, free treatment at the 34th ‘Yaad-e-Murshid’ Free Mega Eye Camp.
