Dera Sacha Sauda Launches a COVID-19 Prevention Helpline!
Keeping in mind the exponential rise in coronavirus cases across the country, the chief of Dera Sacha Sauda, Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan has urged DSS volunteers to build a website that provides information and free consultations to anyone in need. In response to Guruji's call, the volunteers of Dera Sacha Sauda have launched a new COVID-19 prevention helpline (www.dsscovidhelp.com) to help combat the pandemic. The primary aim of the helpline is to help any sick or home isolation patients, or those unable to avail of medical services, to directly contact doctors and get a free medical consultation online. This helpline is a big relief to those who find themselves without proper medical check-up has become a problem due to the increasing number of doctors being posted on COVID duty. Doctors who are DSS followers have volunteered to provide teleconsultations round the clock. Within 24 hours of launching, over 1500 patients have been consulted free of cost. When asked about the helpline, Dr. Puneet Insan, an anesthetist at Shah Satnam Ji Specialty Hospitals, said that during these difficult times, the common man has been plagued by stress due to misinformation while most doctors lack time to consult everyone in person. The website, therefore, has been built to aid both doctors and the common folks through the online medium.
