International Youth Day: Saint Dr. MSG – The Visionary Who Turns Youthful Energy into Purpose

Youth is the most powerful chapter of life; an age of dreams without limits, energy without hesitation and possibilities waiting to be discovered. Yet, that immense potential needs the right direction. Without guidance, the same energy can be consumed by distraction, addiction, anxiety or self-doubt; with purpose, it can become the force that transforms families, communities and nations.

This is where the vision of Revered Guru Saint Dr MSG Ji, stands apart. His approach to youth empowerment is not confined to one arena. It reaches the classroom, playing field, family, workplace and inner self, encouraging young people to become educated, healthy, disciplined, confident, compassionate and purposeful.

When Young Minds Need Direction

Modern youth face pressures that previous generations could scarcely imagine, academic competition, career uncertainty, digital distraction, social comparison, anxiety and the fear of falling behind.

His Holiness has consistently addressed these concerns through regular question-and-answer sessions in Spiritual Discourses, where young people can seek guidance on their doubts, studies, careers, relationships, stress and aspirations. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all answers, His guidance focuses on developing the ability to think clearly and face challenges with confidence.

HisHoliness’s educational vision is equally far-reaching. Hi-Tech schools and colleges established across North India, including institutions in Sirsa, Sri Gurusar Modia, Tara Nagar, Budhni and Udaipur, have provided thousands of students with opportunities to pursue academic excellence alongside character development.

Their achievements have been remarkable, with students regularly featuring in merit lists and university rankings, including multiple instances of students securing positions among the Top 10.

The aim is not merely to create high scorers, but sharp minds, strong characters and confident human beings.

Where the Playing Field Becomes a Launchpad

Revered Saint Dr MSG Ji’s vision also challenges the notion that sport is secondary to academics.

He encourages youth to study hard and play harder, recognising that sport develops qualities that textbooks alone cannot teach, discipline, resilience, teamwork, confidence and the courage to rise after defeat.

This philosophy has been supported by dedicated sporting infrastructure. Shah Satnam Ji Cricket Stadium, Sirsa, inaugurated on 29 August 2004, provides a platform for sporting excellence, while the 23-acre MSG Khel Gaon, established in 2017, offers facilities for more than 36 sports and frequently hosts national-level competitions involving athletes from across North India.

The achievements emerging from this ecosystem are equally inspiring.

In international yoga competitions alone, 10 girls have collectively secured 127 medals – 35 Gold, 53 Silver and 39 Bronze, including honours at the World Cup and Asia Cup. Beyond yoga, students from the schools and colleges established by Revered Guru Ji have achieved numerous national-level and international-level Gold medals in handball, roller skating, archery and other disciplines.

And behind many of these achievements stands personal guidance. Revered Guru Ji, whom players affectionately call ‘Papa Coach’, regularly visit players tips on technique, fitness, improvement and how to grow into their potential, inspiring young athletes to keep striving for excellence.

The medal may be won on the field, but the discipline to win it begins within.

When Geography No Longer Defines Destiny

One of the most powerful examples of this vision comes from tribal communities in Rajasthan and other tribal regions.

Revered Guru Ji spent around one and a half year to two years living among tribal communities, understanding their circumstances closely and working towards their upliftment. The focus extended far beyond material assistance, it was about helping young people embrace education, healthy living, discipline, sports and confidence.

Schools were established, opening doors that had previously remained distant. Today, children from these communities are demonstrating their abilities in archery and other sports at national and international levels, winning numerous Gold, Silver, and bronze  medals.

It is a compelling lesson for every young person:

Talent does not belong to a particular background. It only needs the opportunity, guidance and environment to flourish.

The Strongest Victory Begins Within

Beyond marks and medals lies another, deeper dimension of youth empowerment: willpower.

Revered Saint Dr MSG Ji's teachings emphasise the importance of becoming both a Karmayogi (one who translates good intentions into purposeful action) and a Gyanyogi (one who combines action with wisdom and understanding).

Through the Method of Meditation, young people are encouraged to develop focus, self-control, confidence and inner stability. The message is not to escape life's challenges, but to develop the inner strength to face them.

Wisdom shows the way. Action moves you forward. Willpower keeps you moving when the path becomes difficult.

Protecting Potential from the Drug Trap

Perhaps nothing steals youthful potential more brutally than addiction. Revered Saint Dr. MSG Ji has therefore approached the challenge at its roots, through awareness, rehabilitation, meditation, community support and healthy living.

The DEPTH Campaign – Drug Eradication Pan India through Health and Meditation was launched with the vision of helping people overcome addiction and reclaim their lives. Its message reaches young audiences through awareness drives, community outreach and powerful anti-drug anthems such as “Jaago Duniya De Loko”, “Mere Desh Ki Jawani” and “Aashirwad Maon Ka”, connecting with audiences in Punjabi, Hindi and Haryanvi.

The scale of this transformation is extraordinary: more than 75 million people have already given up drugs, with around 90% of them being young people. Among them are individuals who had been trapped in extremely severe addiction, including people reportedly injecting deadly opioids 70–90 times a day, yet managed to break free and rebuild their lives through the guidance and Method of Meditation blessed by Revered Guru Ji.

But leaving addiction is only the beginning.

Through SAFE – Simple healthy diet After quitting drugs for Faster recovery, based on Electrolytes and proteins, the focus extends to rebuilding physical strength and supporting healthier living after quitting drugs.

The vision is not merely to help a young person escape addiction, it is to help restore the strength, confidence and purpose that addiction tried to take away, so that their potential can once again become their greatest asset.

Keeping Youth Connected to Their Roots

Technology can connect the world in seconds, yet sometimes leave people disconnected from those sitting beside them.

SEED – Social, Spiritual, and Self-life Enrichment and Enhancement with Digital Fasting encourages young people to step away from mobile phones, television and the internet from 7–9 pm, using those hours for family, friends and meaningful interaction.

Similarly, BLESS encourages respect for elders, while TEAM promotes sharing meals with family.

Move forward with the world, but stay connected with your roots.

Career uncertainty is addressed through the Career Guide campaign, while the Self-Reliance initiative encourages young people towards productive and independent lives.

This connection to humanity is further strengthened through the 176 welfare initiatives initiated under Revered Saint Dr. MSG Ji’s vision, offering young people countless avenues to turn their energy into selfless service, from helping those in need to caring for animals, protecting nature and contributing to the welfare of society.

Because the strongest youth are not those who simply rise above others, but those who rise, and help humanity rise with them.

The Youth of Today. The Changemakers of Tomorrow.

On International Youth Day, the world celebrates young people for their energy, creativity and potential. But celebrating youth is only the beginning. The real task is to equip them to fulfil that potential.

This is the essence of Revered Saint Dr. MSG Ji’s vision for youth. His contribution goes far beyond inspiring young people to dream. Through education, sports, meditation, career guidance, de-addiction, skill development, women’s empowerment, tribal upliftment and humanitarian service, He has created pathways for young minds to discover their abilities, strengthen their character and channel their energy towards something greater.

From a student seeking clarity to an athlete chasing an international medal, from a young person battling addiction to a child discovering a talent once hidden by circumstances, the message remains the same:

Believe in yourself. Strengthen yourself. And use your strength to uplift others.

That is what makes Revered Saint Dr. MSG Ji a truly remarkable youth icon, His Holiness does not simply inspire the youth to succeed in life; He inspires them to build a life of purpose, discipline, courage, compassion and service.

Give youth a vision, and they will dream beyond limits.

Give them direction, and they will turn dreams into achievements.

Give them values, and they will turn achievements into change.
