Two-Day Agriculture Fair to be Held on 24th-25th March 2014 at Dera Sacha Sauda

Dera Sacha Sauda, Confluence of all Religions, is organizing a two-day Agricultural and New Technology Fair (Kisan Mela) commencing from 24th March 2014. The main aim of the Fair is to impart latest technological techniques on manure and seed development to the farmers. The exhibition will be inaugurated by Revered Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan at 8:30 a.m. at the huge ground near the Gate no. 9 of Shah Satnam Ji Dham, Sirsa. Cultural Program will also be organized at the inauguration and closing ceremony of the Fair. Mr. Pawan Insan, the spokesperson of Dera Sacha Sauda outlined that during the Fair, eminent agriculturists from various agriculture institution and universities of the country will share knowledge related to the latest techniques of farming. In the Fair, farmers can enrich their knowledge about modern farming machines, pesticides and new seed & manure development. Mr. Insan also informed that there will be various exhibitions too related to agriculture activities in the Fair. Besides this, farmers will be provided knowledge on various herbs that can be grown along with crops. The agricultural specialists will also make farmers learn about the crops that provide more yield even with less water. This Fair had also been organized thrice by Dera Sacha Sauda earlier. First one in the year 2012 (28th-29th September) and twice in the year 2013 (8th-9th April and 26th-27th September). Farmers from Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and other states participated in earlier Fairs and learnt latest methods of farming. This is the 4th Agricultural Fair where farmers will be benefited with new techniques of farming, high-yield providing seeds and manure. It's worth noting that Dera Sacha Sauda has now become a prominent experimental ground for agriculture where variety of fruits, medicines and other crops are grown on sandy desert-like land under the holy directions of Revered Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan and His Holiness Himself do farming with new techniques. In Dera, organic farming is done using organic fertilizers and vermicompost.
